Harold Kalin

Harold Kalin, born on December 23, 1936, in Los Angeles, California, is an American singer and songwriter best known as a member of the popular vocal group The Kalin Twins. The group, which he formed with his twin brother, Alan Kalin, was active primarily in the late 1950s and early 1960s. They are often associated with the pop and rock genres, characterized by their harmonious vocal arrangements. The Kalin Twins gained fame with their hit singles, most notably "When," which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1960. Other notable works include "Forget Me Not" and "I Can't Help It," which showcased their smooth vocal style and appealed to the teen market of the time. Although their commercial success waned after the early 1960s, The Kalin Twins' contributions to the music scene exemplified the harmonious sound that defined the era's pop music. Their influence can be seen in later vocal groups that drew inspiration from their style. Harold Kalin's work remains a testament to the enduring appeal of sibling harmony in popular music.
